ABOUT LOLA AUGUST

Before the Blueprint, there was Leti.

A life lived. Lessons learned. A story worth telling.

Long before I became Lola August, I lived a life that looked nothing like the one I'm building today.

I've known homelessness. I've battled addiction. I've experienced devastating loss, made decisions I'm not proud of, and faced consequences that forced me to take a hard look at myself.

There were years when I was simply trying to make it through another day. And there were times when the biggest obstacle in my life wasn't another person or my circumstances. It was me.

I'm not going to dress that up and make it sound pretty. That was my reality.

But those experiences are also why I can sit across from someone who's struggling and speak from understanding rather than judgment.

THE SPIRITUAL SIDE OF MY LIFE

My connection to spirituality didn't begin when I started doing readings or built a business around it.

I come from a family with deep spiritual traditions. Ancestor reverence, intuitive experiences, and the spiritual world have been part of my life since childhood.

Over the years, that connection developed through my own experiences, spiritual teachers, ancestral practices, and the traditions I've studied and worked within.

Spirituality has helped shape how I understand myself and the world. But one of the most important things I've learned is that no ritual, reading, or spiritual practice can replace the decisions we have to make for ourselves.

That's something I carry into the work I do with others.

WHY I BECAME LOLA AUGUST

Lola wasn't created because I wanted a prettier name or a different image.

She represents a chapter of my life that I made a conscious decision to build.

I had to confront the woman I'd been, acknowledge the ways I'd contributed to my own circumstances, and decide what I wanted my life to look like moving forward.

That meant changing habits, separating myself from certain environments, learning boundaries, and doing things differently even when it was uncomfortable.

It also meant accepting that growth doesn't erase what happened before it.

I still carry my experiences. I just relate to them differently now.

WHY I DO WHAT I DO

Over the years, I've worked with thousands of people seeking answers, clarity, direction, and spiritual guidance.

And something I've noticed is that underneath so many of those questions is a person who has stopped trusting themselves.

I've met women who don't recognize themselves anymore. People who've spent years choosing everyone but themselves. People who know something needs to change but don't know where to begin.

I understand that place because I've been there.

That's why my work has grown beyond private readings.

I wrote The Blueprint: From Survival to Freedom to share the experiences and lessons that shaped my life. And I'm expanding into motivational speaking, education, empowerment workshops, and community outreach because I want those conversations to reach people who might never book a session with me.

I especially want to create spaces for women who have experienced adversity, loss, or difficult circumstances and need somewhere to be heard without being judged.

I'm not a therapist, and I'm not claiming to have every answer. What I bring is lived experience, spiritual knowledge, practical perspective, and the willingness to have conversations that aren't always comfortable.

I do this work because I know what it's like to need someone who understands where you've been without deciding that's all you'll ever be.

And if something I've lived through can help another person find their way forward, then sharing my story has a purpose bigger than me.
